Event Date:
Feb 28 2016 - 5:00pm - 8:00pm

Students in the Faculty of Humanities and Education at The University of the West Indies, Mona, will be the beneficiaries of a special performance of the play Riot Act, at the Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts (PSCCA) on Sunday, February 28, 2016, starting at 5:00 pm.

The play features four characters – a rasta man, a black intellectual, a filmmaker and a ‘madda’ woman - who take viewers on an exciting theatrical journey.  The characters explore their own fears and issues while doing their best to escape the ghost of a dead revolutionary. This musical theatre production is a modern myth for our times and not to be missed. It is suitable for all ages.

The initiative is part of the Faculty’s effort to provide scholarships for needy students and to engage a wide range of stakeholders in a significant cultural event.

Members of the public are invited.  Tickets are available from the Faculty Office, CARIMAC and other FHE Departments, at the Philip Sherlock Centre and at the door.
