Public Lecture on Writing and Publishing Children’s Literature
The Department of Literatures in English, at The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, will host a public lecture on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 6:00pm in Lecture Room N5, Faculty of Humanities and Education. The lecture will be useful to current and aspiring writers and publishers of children’s literature, teachers, and librarians. The lecture will be delivered by Mr. Michael Katz a publisher and lecturer in writing and publishing.
Mr. Katz is the owner of Tradewind Books, a Vancouver-based publisher of children’s literature, which has published over one hundred titles, including Jamaican author Olive Senior’s children’s book, Anna Carries Water. He has also taught a course in writing and publishing at the University of British Columbia since 1998. His lecture will provide invaluable information about the writing and publishing of children’s literature based on his expertise and experience in the field.
