The University community is invited to the Public Forum The Assassination of Walter Rodney in Guyana:Reflections on the Commission of Inquiry Report.
 
This forum will be hosted jointly with the: The Office of the Vice Chancellor ,The Institute for Gender and Development Studies and The Department of Government; and will focus on the recently concluded Commission of Inquiry into the death of Dr. Walter A. Rodney, renowned Pan-African activist and scholar.
 
The session will be moderated by Rodney Scholar, Professor Rupert Lewis and speakers will include UWI Vice Chancellor, Professor Sir Hilary Beckles, Dr. Patricia Rodney (Walter Rodney Foundation), Mr. Richard Small, Q.C, Professor Horace Campbell (Syracuse University & Justice for Walter Rodney Committee  - JWRC), and journalist  and member of the JWRC, Mr. Wazir Mohammed, as well as Mr. Andrew Pilgrim, lawyer for the Rodney family.
 
The recommendations of the Commission of Inquiry are instructive and hold particular significance for the development of the entire Caribbean; in relation to peace, stability and social justice.
