The UWI School of Nursing, Mona presents “Orange Your Day” public lecture on November 21, 2019, 1:00-3:30 pm at the School of Nursing. The theme is “Gender-Based Violence in the workplace has a female face”.

The focus of the lecture will be sexual harassment in the workplace.

This lecture forms part of the activities related to the United Nations Initiative: “Orange our Community” with the objective to raise awareness on Gender-Based Violence among the student body, the wider university community and the general public. This activity supports the 16 Days of Activism to End Violence against Women, from 25 November to 10 December.

The guest speaker will be Mr. Marcus McChristian, a US Diplomat. His area of focus will be on the pervasive culture of violence in the Caribbean. The School is of the view that this activity will fit in the national strategy to end violence against women in Jamaica. We are nurses shedding light on Gender-Based Violence and we anticipate your presentation.
