Observer on global impact of Hong Kong protests

Promoting women’s entrepreneurship has become an important part of Jamaica's development agenda as we are in pursuit of our national development goals, and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. The objective is based on the premise that an increase in women’s entrepreneurship widens the platform for women to become innovators, job creators, and, most importantly, problem solvers, and the concomitant positive impact this ought to have on economic growth and poverty reduction.

The Caribbean Policy Research Institute (CAPRI), in partnership with the European Union, just completed a study which examines the barriers to entrepreneurship that Jamaican women face, with a view to inform public policy recommendations to dismantle those barriers and present a framework for the cohesion of identified stakeholders. We are having a public forum to discuss the findings and recommendations on Wednesday, November 20, at 6:00PM, at the UWI Mona Visitors Lodge & Conference Centre.

We look forward to your presence and participation in this important discussion.

Ample parking is available, and as usual, our team will be ready to welcome you at the venue from 5:30PM, and refreshments will be provided.
