Event Date:
Aug 2 2021 - 1:00pm - 3:00pm

This is the first of a three-part programme exploring the contested history of Emancipation Day as a national day recognizing the end of slavery. Emancipation is a transitional period with significant cultural, social, economic and political implications, not merely a specific moment (lasting a day) in history.

On Monday, August 2, 2021, at 1:00 pm., do not miss the opportunity to participate in this very important discussion on why Emancipation Day matters.
