The Mona School of Business & Management (MSBM) is an institute of The University of West Indies, (UWI), which is the foremost training institution in the CARICOM region. The MSBM facilitates effective business education and practices in the private and public sectors in order to advance the economic development agenda of Jamaica and the region. In keeping with its core function the business school has recently begun a new Masters programme in Taxation.

The MSc. Taxation is designed to create a core of Caribbean tax professionals with the expertise to help businesses navigate the technical issues of tax planning, policy and accounting. The programme provides an extensive overview of theoretical, technical and managerial aspects of taxation, and is designed to appeal to entry level as well as senior practitioners like Devon Deslandes and Junie Myers-Walters, who are seeking to specialize in the area of taxation, or to upgrade their skills and expand their knowledge. Courses are facilitated by cadre of local and international experts from within academia, and practitioners from both the private and public sectors.
