The 2015 recipient of the Rhodes Scholarship Award is 23-year old Tariq Parker who holds the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree with first class honours from the Faculty of Medical Sciences at The University of the West Indies, Mona. The Faculty of Medical Sciences is the oldest of The UWI, Mona’s five Faculties, and plays a vital role in the training of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, radiographers, dentists and other allied health professionals for the entire Caribbean region.

The UWI, Mona has produced some 70 Rhodes scholarship winners over the years, the majority of whom have gone on to excel locally, regionally and internationally.
