Over the last six years the students and staff of the Rex Nettleford Hall of Residence have undertaken to assist the Jamaica Cancer Society during Breast Cancer Month. Every October, the team stages a walkathon from the Mona Campus to Liguanea, and more recently to Half Way Tree and New Kingston, collecting funds to assist in the Society's outreach and research initatives. Since its inception, the Hall has handed over close to Four Hundred Thousand Dollars.
