Essentials of Entrepreneurship Course at UWI, Mona

The Department of Management Studies at UWI, Mona will host a course called the Essentials of Entrepreneurship and Business Management to provide structured and systematic training to meet the on-going needs of Jamaican businesses.
The programme is designed for persons interested in starting or already operating small to medium-sized businesses and for persons involved in the management of such businesses.
The course will be delivered in the form of lectures and workshops and will consist of two modules. Module 1 will be offered on Saturday November 27 and Sunday, November 28 and module 2 on Saturday December 4 and Sunday December 5, 2004.
Topics to be covered in Module 1 include Entrepreneurial Finance, Legal Issues for Business, and Critical Taxation Issues for Entrepreneurs. In Module 2 topics include Operations Management, Human Resource Management and Marketing. Presenters include a range of experts from the field of Management from the UWI and from the private sector. These include Drs. Anne Crick, Noel Cowell, and Gavin Chin, as well as Mr. Archibald Campbell, Mr. Delroy Chevers, Mrs Audrey Welds and tax expert, Mrs. Ethlyn Norton-Coke.
