Students who are currently indebted to The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus for the 2003/2004 academic year are advised that they can now access a “special” loan facility at the UWI (Mona) and Community Cooperative Credit Union Limited to secure funds to settle outstanding fees.

Students who wish to apply for these loans must proceed as follows:

(i) Submit a loan application to the UWI Credit Union no later than December 5, 2004. Simultaneously, students should also apply to the Credit Union for membership.

(ii) Students applying for loans must, prior to the submission of their application to the Credit Union, confirm that their names are on the schedule of outstanding fees which The University has submitted to the Credit Union.

Students should note that loan applications will only be accepted from students with balances relating to the 2003/2004 academic year.

Students who wish to borrow funds to pay fees for other periods will be advised by the University as to when they should submit their application.
