Posted: October 04, 2005
The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus will be closed for the rest of today, Tuesday, October 4, 2005 as there is a broken main on the University Hospital compound which is affecting the water supply to the campus.
Arrangements are being made to have water trucked to essential areas such as the halls of residence and the Health Centre until the repairs are effected.
In the meantime, all classes and business operations at the campus have been suspended.
The University will continue to monitor the situation and expects that normal operations will resume tomorrow, Wednesday, October 5, 2005. A further announcement will be made this evening.
The UWI deeply regrets any inconvenience which may result from this action.
