The University of the West Indies, Mona congratulates President of the Guild of Students, UWI Mona, Vishwanauth Tolan who has been invited for the third time to be a member of the Jamaica Badminton Squad and has been training with the team for the past month.  The Team travelled on Saturday, January 9 to play in the open badminton tournament in Washington DC.

Vishwanauth, a past student of Calabar High School, was student Council president from 2004 to 2005. He was captain of the all island badminton championship team and all island junior triple champion in 2004 and 2005.  He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Based Management Information Systems.
