The first cohort of graduates to pursue the postgraduate Certificate in University Teaching and Learning will be presented during the UWI, Mona Graduation Ceremony to be held on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 5:30 pm. Five academic staff members will be presented on this occasion. This inaugural event underscores the University’s commitment to excellence in teaching. It is also in keeping with the UWI Strategic Development Plan that gives primacy to teaching, learning and research.

The Certificate in University Teaching and Learning programme is designed to meet the need for academic staff to be further exposed to teaching and learning strategies and approaches required to be effective in educating today’s students for tomorrow’s world. The programme is designed as a UWI post-graduate certificate.
