St. Vincent Girls' High School Visits UWI, Mona

A contingent consisting of fifty (50) fourth form students and ten (10) teachers from the St. Vincent Girls' High School in St Vincent and the Grenadines, will visit The University of the West Indies, Mona on Monday, March 14, 2011. The students are studying Geography, History and the Theatre Arts and hope that this visit to Jamaica and the University will engender a greater awareness and appreciation for the rich heritage of Jamaica. While on their visit to UWI, Mona the delegation will take a tour of the campus exploring heritage sites. They will also be given an address by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Education, Dr. Swithin Wilmot and participate in a presentation on the Maroon community in Jamaica.

The UWI, Mona welcomes the team and hopes that the prospective students will make the Campus their first choice for tertiary education.
