16th Annual Derek Gordon Seminar

“Crime and Social Theory in the Caribbean” is the theme of this year’s annual Derek Gordon seminar scheduled for Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 2 pm at the Mona Visitors’ Lodge and Conference Centre, UWI.
Graduate students and UWI academics will explore a range of topics during the seminar including: adolescent suicide, community relationship building, organizational stress, workplace justice and crime and violence in the Caribbean. The event culminates with a keynote address at 6:15 pm which will be delivered by Professor Dragan Milovanovic, Brommel Distinguished Research Professor at Northeastern Illinois University. His address is entitled, "Constitutive Harm, Justice-Rendering Schemas and Alternative Construction of Agency (Quantum Consciousness)". For a detailed programme please click here.
