All students of The University of the West Indies, Mona will be granted access to the professional-grade Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus free of charge starting this Thursday March 27 at a major launch event at the Mona campus.

Thursday’s Launch event at the Mona Information Technology Services (MITS) building will feature product demonstrations and free downloads for all UWI Mona students. Students will learn how to access Microsoft Office 365, understand the terms of use and become familiar with the features. The Microsoft team, MITS team and student brand ambassadors will be available to answer questions and assist. 

The Microsoft Office product permits users to store and share documents online, undertake research, as well as to message and video conference.  The new tools are described as perfect for enabling individual school assignments, group projects and the business of student clubs and societies. This package features Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher, Access, Lync, One Note and Outlook.  

The offer to UWI students includes free downloads to five devices including Mac, PC, and mobile.  Included in this offer will be the ability to use some of the applications online.
