Owing to the erratic behavior of Hurricane Matthew, The University of the West Indies, (UWI) Mona Campus is unable to say when normal operations at the institution will resume. 

Staff and students should not return to the Campus until advised that it is safe to do so. The UWI, Mona will continue to monitor the situation and remain in close contact with the Office of Disaster Preparedness & Emergency Management (ODPEM).  A further Advisory will be issued as soon as the system has passed.   

 The University of the West Indies, Mona encourages members of the community to take all precautions to ensure their own safety and that of their families.
