Academic Writing Instruction for Creole-Influenced Students, by Vivette Milson-Whyte, a finalist In the Education/Academic (Non-Fiction) category of the 2017 Next Generation India Book Awards (NGIBA).

The University of the West Indies Press is pleased to announce that Academic Writing Instruction for Creole Influenced Students, by Vivette Milson-Whyte, has been named as e finalist in the (Education/Academic (Non-fiction) category of the 2017 Next Generation Indie Book Awards (NGIBA).

The Next Generation Indie Book Awards is the largest not-for-profit book awards programme for Indie authors and independent publishers. In its eleventh year of operation, the Next Generation Indie Book Awards was established to recognize and honour the most exceptional independently published books in over 70 different categories, for the year, and is presented by the Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group (www.IBPPG.com) in cooperation with Marilyn Allen of the Allen O’Shea Literary Agency.

Over the last twenty-five years, UWI Press books, and authors have received over eighty-five local, national and international awards. These awards have been given for scholarly, editorial, design, production and marketing excellence.

Academic Writing Instruction for Creole-influenced Students has also been awarded the Principal’s Research Award, Best Research Publication, Faculty of Humanities and Education, the University of the West Indies. Mona, 2016.
