The University of the West Indies, Mona notes the sale of certificates purporting to be undergraduate and post graduate degrees conferred by The University of the West Indies.

The University is currently investigating the matter as we view this as highly concerning and condemn the actions of those involved in this activity.

In the meantime, we wish to advise employers, educational institutions and all others concerned to be vigilant and on the alert for these non-genuine documents.

All certificates conferred by the University have security features to guarantee authenticity however we encourage any organization in doubt of the legitimacy of degrees or certificates to contact our Examinations Sections for verification of same at: 876-935-8855-60 or email us at: examinations@uwimona.edu.jm. We also encourage persons who come into possession of these counterfeit documents to report the matter to the Fraud Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
