UWI School of Continuing Studies
The UWI School of Continuing Studies, UWI will host another in its Country Conference Series in St. Lucia from November 18 to 20. The St. Lucia Conference will be held under the theme Beyond Walls: Multi-Disciplinary Perspectives. Prof. Sir Roy Augier, Professor Emeritus in the Department of History, UWI, Mona will deliver the keynote address at the opening session. Sir Roy, a St. Lucian, is known for his seminal contribution to the development of Caribbean History. At the conference, the School will open an exhibition in honour of Sir Roy, to mark his 50 years of sterling service to the UWI and the Caribbean. The St. Lucia Conference, to be held at the Cara Suites in Castries, is the ninth in the School’s Country Conferences and will focus on issues relevant to St. Lucia. The School of Continuing Studies convenes multi disciplinary conferences focusing on the non-campus countries within the UWI system. Presentations cover a wide range of topics including information technology, history, tourism, trade relations, cultural and literary studies among others.
