The Study Skills Workshop series put on by the University Counselling Service originally scheduled to begin on September 16, will now begin on September 23 at 2.00 p.m. in the Neville Hall Lecture Theatre (N1) Faculty of Humanities and Education. The other four sessions will take place on October 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2004.
The sessions are intended to assist students to improve their note-taking, test-taking and time management skills. Improving memory and concentration as well as assessing and working effectively with learning styles, will also be covered. The workshops are open to all members of the campus community. Participants are being asked to download and complete the Discovery Wheel. The completed instrument should be brought to the first session. Participants will be directed to this instrument on registration at the above mentioned website.
