Annual World of Work Seminars
The annual World of Work Seminars organised by the Office of Placement and Career Services begin on Thursday, October 14 and continue through to November 25. The series of seminars focus on assisting students to develop skills and competencies needed to be successful in the world of work. Presenters for the seminars are mainly Human Resource Practitioners from the Public and Private Sectors. Topics to be dealt with will cover a wide area including ‘Entrepreneurship” and ‘How to Prepare for and Attend an Interview’. The first in the series of seminars will be held on Thursday, October 24 in Seminar Room 10 in the Faculty of Social Sciences. The presenter will be the Vice President for Human Resources at Life of Jamaica Limited, Benita Locke.
