Defence College Visit

A group from the Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS) in the United Kingdom will visit the UWI, Mona Campus on Wednesday, October 13, as part of a programme of visits which will take participants to the United States, Canada and Jamaica. The RCDS is one of the most prestigious institutions of its kind in the world. The College brings together military and civilian high fliers from all over the world for a yearlong course on International Relations and Security, which is held in London. As part of the course, participants undertake one-month study tours to eight regions of the world. These enable each group of students to gain a first hand understanding of the countries visited through privileged diplomatic, commercial, military and institutional contact at the highest level. While at the UWI, the group will hold discussions with Deputy Principal, Joseph Pereira, as well as with a group of postgraduate students.
