IDU Workshops on Course Design
The Instructional Development Unit University of the West Indies, Mona PRESENTS its monthly series of four Workshops on Course Design in October 21 -December 1, 2004 in the IDU Training Room (upstairs Interfaculty Lecture Theatre). Workshop Facilitators are Dr. Beryl Allen, Miss Meta Bogle, & Professor Joseph Branday. The programme is designed to familiarize participants with the process of Designing and Evaluating Courses. The topics to be addressed are Developing Course Rational; Develop Course Objectives; Translating Objectives: Materials Selection; and Translating objectives: Structure Learning Tasks. The final Brown Bag Discussion for the Semester will be held on December 9 between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. and is titled, Motivating Students - Is There a Role for Faculty?
