UWI Lecturer Granted US Patent
Senior Lecturer in the Institute of Education, at the UWI Mona Campus, Dr. Halden Morris, has been granted a United States Patent, along with Rhona Miller, for his invention of a portable mini clothes dryer and hair dryer. The device is designed to fit into a standard suitcase and is the result of extensive work over the past several years. Dr. Morris is involved in electrical and electronics technology and works with teachers colleges associated with the Joint Board of Teacher Education as well as institutions like the Heart Trust/National Training Agency and the Technical/Vocational Training and Resource Centre – Vocational Technical Development Institute.
