Special Exhibition on Professor the Hon. Rex Nettleford
The School of Continuing Studies, Camp Road, will host a special exhibition entitled Professor the Hon. Rex Nettleford: From Bunkers Hill to the Vice Chancellery, UWI, from November 12-18, 2004. The exhibition will be on display to the public on Friday, November 12 to Sunday, November 14 from 2.00 to 6.00 p.m. at the University Centre, 2A Camp Road, Kingston 4.
The exhibition highlights the compelling story of the Hon. Rex Nettleford, UWI Vice Chancellor Emeritus, who rose to become a noted scholar, teacher, author, choreographer and Caribbean cultural icon. It has been traveling to all the campus and non-campus countries of the English-speaking Caribbean and is capping a year-long tribute by the SCS to Professor Nettleford, who was Resident Tutor for Jamaica at the start of his career and Director of the School for over 25 years.
