The University Health Centre in collaboration with the University HIV/AIDS Response Programme (UWI HARP) will host an HIV/AIDS Forum under the theme 'Women, Girls, HIV and AIDS' to mark World AIDS Day on December 1, 2004. The forum will be held in the Undercroft, UWI between the hours of 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m. Dr. Glenda Simms, Director of the Bureau of Women's Affairs will
deliver the main address at the forum which will also feature a panel discussion, cultural presentations, and booth displays. The Centre for Gender and Development Studies will also mount a poster display around the theme. Booths will be open from 10:00 a.m. This event is open to the University and other groups/communities and promises to be both informative and entertaining, providing an opportunity to increase awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls.
