Microsoft Jamaica has made a presentation to the Department of Library and Information Studies of a full product package of Encarta Reference Library 2004 for installation on twenty five computers at the Department. The presentation also includes a full product package of Encarta Reference Library 2004 Educators Edition.
The Encarta Reference Library which has been installed in the Department’s Library and Computer Laboratory is an update of the earlier version held and provides a valuable multimedia teaching and learning resource for staff and students of the Department. It will be used as an example of a reference resource and students will be able to examine and evaluate its structure, contents and technology applications.
