Caribbean Graduates Conference
UWI students and graduates are invited to attend the Caribbean Graduates Conference, to be hosted by the Students Christian Fellowship Scripture Union/Inter-Students Christian Fellowship Graduate Ministry on Friday, April 8 and Saturday, April 9 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.
Registration will take place at the Jamaica Pegasus between 5 and 6 p.m. on Friday, April 8, followed by cocktails and the Opening Plenary with Dr. Mee-Yan Cheung-Judge, a UK-based specialist in positive change, who has served over 200 clients including the British Broadcasting Corporation and Shell Company.
On Saturday, April 9 Dr. Cheung-Judge will also conduct a session on “The Leadership Challenge”, which will be followed by a workshop on “Understanding Your Leadership Signature” with Rev. Simon Walker of the UK. Rev. Walker works with secular and spiritual leaders throughout Europe to develop moral leadership.
In addition, Miss Vigla Clarke, a Jamaican living in the USA, will lead the workshop: “How to Get the Best out of People as a Leader” Saturday afternoon. Among other assignments, Miss Clarke has led teams to review staff turnover in Hong Kong and the Human Resources business model in Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela.
A Panel Discussion is set for Saturday afternoon, under the theme “Leading the Call to Transform the Nation”, with local presenters Major Neil Lewis, Dr. Henley Morgan and Mrs Winsome Wilkins. The session will be moderated by Dr. Las Newman.
