The University of the West Indies regrets the passing of Major Vincent Browne who died in his native country, Monsterrat on Friday, September 16. He served as Warden at Chancellor Hall, Mona and Cave Hill, Barbados. He is the composer of the popular song, “Mona Moon”. Major Browne’s Requiem Mass will take place at the Salem Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 28. This will be followed by his funeral on Thursday, September 29 at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Monsterrat. The UWI extends condolences to his widow, Dora, and other members of his family.
