“From Sage on the Stage to Guide on the Side” is the topic of the public lecture organized by the Jamaican Association for Distance and Open Learning (JADOL) to be presented by Canadian Education and Business Consultant, Louisa Horne. The lecture addresses the cultural shift required to encourage autonomous learning on the part of students, occasioned by the increased use of information communication technologies. This will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2005, at 4:30 p.m. in the Multi-Functional Room of the Main Library on the Mona Campus. The lecture is part of JADOL’s effort to fulfill its mission to promote, enhance and develop the practice of distance and open learning in Jamaica for individual, institutional and national development.
