Dr. Joanna Bennett has been appointed Visiting Professor to the UWI School of Nursing for the period October 1-29.
She is a senior Academic at King’s College in London where she is the Workforce Development Lead – Black and Minority Ethnic Mental Health, The Sainsbury Centre for Metal Health as well as Visiting Professor to Middlesex University. She has a professional background in nursing and extensive experience in menal health education, training and research. She will be conducting a seminar entitled, Independent and Supplementary Nurse Prescribing in England, on Tuesday, October 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the UWI School of Nursing. There will also be a public lecture on the topic, Black People and Psychiatric Services: A British Experience.” This will be held on Thursday, October 27 at 5:00 p.m. in the main Medical Lecture Theatre.
