43rd Regional Four-Month Course
The Graduation exercise for 43rd Regional Four Month Course in the Principles and Practice of Social Work will take place at the Social Welfare Centre on Thursday, April 27, at 5:30 p.m.
This year there are forty (40) participants from three (3) counties, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Jamaica. The participants represents a wide range of social services, which include persons in the field of health, correctional services, policing, counseling, religion, community development, social welfare, service clubs and youth work.
The students did their practicum training in twenty-four (24) social service agencies within the government and non-governmental sectors in Jamaica.
The guest speaker will be Professor Barry Chevannes, Research Fellow, Mona School of Business, UWI. Past Four-Month course students are invited to join in the 2006 batch of students at their graduation ceremony on April 27 at 5:30 p.m. on the lawns of the Social Welfare Training Centre.
