The University of the West Indies – Mona Circle K club is a member of Circle K International, a service organization designed for students in tertiary institutions worldwide. Each year the club embarks on service projects in schools, children’s homes and the surrounding communities.
This year the Circle K Club will be hosting its annual ‘Key to College’ programme on October 20 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Assembly Hall. This year the event will host fifth and sixth form students from 13 high schools located in the corporate area. One of the objectives of the programme is to increase students interest in attending the University of the West Indies. This year, the programme will include a special tour of the campus.
Students will also attended lectures and participate in a seminar addressing issues such as, UWI admission requirements, obtaining scholarships, living on the halls of residence, sports and other co-curricular activities available at the University and more.
