The Department of Management Studies at the UWI Mona Campus will host a Colloquium/Seminar on External and Internal Threats to Hemispheric Security on Tuesday, December 8, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the Social Sciences Lecture Theatre (SSLT). The Colloquium is being held as part of activities connected to its MSc. National Security and Strategic Studies Programme. There will be four sessions throughout the day: The first session, which will begin at 9:15 a.m. will deal with ‘Terrorism and Caribbean Tourism‘. Session 2, starting at 10:45 a.m. will cover ‘Free Movement of CARICOM Nationals (Security Implications)’ while the third session, which begins at 1:15 p.m., will discuss ‘Cooperation between Regional States on Security Issues ‘. The fourth and final session will begin at 2:30 p.m. and the topic for discussion will be ‘An Amalgamated Military and Constabulary Force ‘. The closing session will be held from 4:00- 4:30 p.m.
