Logo Competition

Students attending eleven schools in the immediate vicinity of the University of the West Indies were invited to enter a competition to design a logo and formulate the theme for a Reproductive Health Conference that the Advanced Training and Research in Fertility Management Unit is planning for October 2006. The Conference will provide a forum presenting and discussing issues in sexual and reproductive health among a wide cross section of stakeholders. The objective is to share research findings on important aspects of sexual and reproductive health, with a special focus on the Caribbean; to bring together health professionals and persons engaged in sexual and reproductive health programmes from all sectors, government, NGO and the private sector to share their experience, work and best practices to foster greater collaboration; to promote linkages and access to information among individuals, organizations and programmes in sexual and reproductive health and to provide information and updates on the innovations, policies etc. in sexual and reproductive health. First prize in the logo competition was awarded to Brandon green of Gordon Town All Age School, while the second prize was awarded to Kerron Tulloch of Gordon Town All Age School. Two merit awards went to Shemeca Hamilton of Mona High School and Alex Hewitt of Mona Heights Primary School.
