Irvine Hall Gate Entrance to be Upgraded
Roadwork to upgrade the Irvine Hall Gate entrance to the UWI Mona Campus is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, December 21. The project will entail the widening of the existing roadway leading off Campus and the construction of a new guardhouse at the intersection of Gibraltar Camp Way and Rousseau Road. Due to the amount of roadwork proposed, vehicles will be prohibited from going beyond Irvine Hall's entrance on Rousseau Way while construction is underway. Vehicles coming from Gibraltar Camp Way from the direction of the Post Office will be prohibited from driving beyond number 16 Gibraltar Camp Way, where the Office of the UWI Endowment Fund is located. The project duration is expected to be approximately 3 to 4 weeks, with all work to be done during the semester break. The University regrets any inconvenience, which may result but asks for the cooperation of all members of the community.
