Nursing Midwifery Conference and Mary Seivwright Day

The Nursing Midwifery Centre of the UWI School Nursing will host an International Conference and Mary Seivwright Day under the theme Changing Visions to Reality through Nursing Research 1966-2006. The Conference will be held from June 1-3, 2006 at the Sunset Jamaica Grande Hotel in Ocho Rios. The 2006 Conference is a special occasion for the School of Nursing as it celebrates 40 years of service to the development of nursing education in the Caribbean. A Fortieth Anniversary Banquet will be held using the theme “Honouring our Heritage, Acknowledging our Achievements: Moving Forward with Confidence.” Highlight of the conference will be the keynote address to be delivered by Professor Loretta Sweet Jemmott, Assistant Provost for Minority, Equity and Gender at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. Persons interested in presenting oral or poster presentations at the conference are asked to contact the UWI School of Nursing. The deadline for receipt of papers is January 16, 2006.
