The Mona Institute of Applied Sciences (MIAS) is currently enrolling students for the certificate courses Introduction to Webpage Design and Web Development and Administration.
Web Page Design instructs students on website creation, modification and maintenance using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and JavaScript. Starting Tuesday January 17, the course runs for 14 weeks and costs $24,000. The deadline for registration is January 9.
Web Development and Administration educates participants in Web Business Management, Networking security and Web Database Technology using various languages including Perl, ASP and JavaScript. Web Development and Administration runs for 14 weeks, tentatively commencing Monday February 13, and costs $60,000. The deadline for registration is January 27.
Applicants may visit the MIAS website, http://mias.uwimona.edu.jm to download the registration form, as well as the course outline. A registration fee of $250 is payable to the MIAS office upon application.
