Annual Research Day
The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus will host its Annual Research Day on January 26 and 27 with the theme CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME): Opportunities and Challenges. Research day will be declared open by the Secretary General of the Caribbean Community H. E. Mr. Edwin Carrington at the Opening Ceremony, which takes place on Thursday, January 26 at the Undercroft of the Senate Building beginning at 9:00 a.m. The guest speaker at the ceremony will be Senator Delano Franklyn, Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. Research Day features a two-day exhibition on research underway, at the Mona Campus. There will also be four public forums on the CSME theme. Tours of the Campus will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Tours to departments in the Faculty of Medical Sciences located at the Hospital will end at 12 noon, daily. The public is invited.
