The initial call for the fourth Pan-Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning (PCF4), which will address the theme ‘Achieving Development Goals: Innovation, Learning, Collaboration and Foundations’, resulted in some 300 abstracts being submitted. The PCF4 is organized by the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) in association with a Caribbean Consortium led by the UWIDEC. Other members of the Consortium are the Caribbean Association for Distance and Open Learning (CARADOL); the Jamaican Association for Distance and Open Learning (JADOL); the Trinidad & Tobago Distance Learning Association (TTDLA); and the Office of Continuing Education, Open and Distance Learning (OCEODL) at the University of Technology, Jamaica. The organizers have however decided to extend the deadline for submission of abstracts to April 30, 2006. PCF4 will take place at the Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, October 30 – November 3, 2006.
