UWI STAT (Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow) was officially launched on January 23 by the Vice Chancellor of the UWI, Professor E. Nigel Harris. UWI STAT was developed by the Vice Chancellor in association with the Alumni Relations arm of the Institutional Advancement Division, the Guild of Students of the three UWI campuses and the Directors of Student Services, in order to increase the ties between students and alumni and create student awareness of alumni relations and alumni involvement.
It will be registered with the Office of Student Services on all campuses like other student organizations. The three Guild Student Presidents (Richard Toomer - Mona, Fallon Lutchmansingh - St. Augustine and Floyd Green - Cave Hill) are the founding members.
