3rd Caribbean Conference on Dispute Resolution
The Dispute Resolution Foundation (DRF) and the Mona School of Business (MSB) are hosting the 3rd Caribbean Conference on Dispute Resolution from May 24 to 27, at the Half Moon Hotel, Montego Bay. The theme of the conference is “Matching the Process to the Problem: Dispute Resolution option for the Caribbean.
The major objectives of the conference are to define the role of Dispute Resolution and its value to the Jamaican and Caribbean economies; to promote the use of mediation in the courts, businesses and communities; and to provide a forum within which Jamaica and Caribbean policymakers, academia, citizens, experts, mediators and practitioners on Alternative Dispute Resolution meet and share best practices and experiences.
The conference will address issues and challenges associated with the need for policies and strategies to institutionalize Alternative Dispute Resolution in the Caribbean. The conference programme will include plenary sessions and workshops focusing on Business/Workplace, Justice/Courts, Community, Youth and Skill Building.
