The UWI, Sports Department will be staging their ‘Champions for Life 2006’ a Summer Camp with a difference for children between the ages of 8-16 years under the theme ‘Building Bridges of Hope and Champions for Life’ at the UWI, Mona Bowl from July 10-21, 2006. It will seek to teach life skills through sports and build bridges between various groups. The camp will include presentations from motivational speakers and sports personalities along with sporting instructions by National Coaches. Basketball, Track & Field, Netball, Football, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis and Swimming will be offered. The campers will be given the chance to meet present and past Olympians as well as other role models in sports like Neville Bell, Courtney Walsh, Fabian Davis and National Netball Captain Elaine Davis.
