12th Annual Philip Sherlock Lecture
The 12th Annual Philip Sherlock Lecture will be presented on Monday, February 27, at 6.00 p.m. at the Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts. Dr. Sonjah Stanley-Niaah, lecturer, and holder of the Rhodes Trust/Rex Nettleford Fellowship in Cultural Studies, will speak on “Black Performance Geographies: From Slave Ship to Ghetto”, mapping continuities from the blues through Jamaica dancehall to South African Kwaito. The public is invited.
