Vice Chancellor of the University of the West Indies, Professor Nigel Harris has lauded the sterling contribution of the Shortwood Teachers’ College in training teachers in early childhood, primary and secondary education.
In a congratulatory statement on the occasion of the College’s 125th Anniversary celebrations, Professor Harris noted the affiliation between the two institutions in the Joint Bachelor of Education programme in Early Childhood Education, which has trained and graduated approximately 600 teachers to date, and offered his commitment to continued development of academic collaboration between the two institutions.
