Jamaica National Bicentenary Logo Competition (1807-2007)
In commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Abolition of the Transatlantic Trade in Enslaved Africans to the Caribbean, the Ministry of Tourism, Entertainment and Culture, in association with the Jamaica Bicentenary Planning Committee is sponsoring a logo competition under the theme “Our Freedom Journey … Honouring Our Ancestors”.
The purpose of the competition is to honour our ancestors through promoting awareness of their importance in the abolition of the Trans-Atlantic Trade in Enslaved Africans and the development of our history and culture. First prize - $50,000.00, Second prize -$30,000.00, Third prize - $20,000.00.
Entries with completed forms must be submitted to the persons listed at any of the following agencies by MAY 30, 2006.
