A 20-member team of swimmers from the Mona Campus of the UWI recently returned to the island after winning 7 golds, 9 silvers and 9 bronze medals to finish 2nd to the Netherland Antilles with 398 points at the Studenten Sport Federatie Nederlandse Antillen (SSFNA) Swim Meet in Curacao held from April 17 to 19.
Anya Bachelor and Dominic Lee came out as top Jamaicans finishing with 31 and 43 points respectively. In the overall standings, both Bachelor and Lee were 3rd place finishers with Lee achieving 4 golds and 1 silver medal. They were followed by Janique Ricketts with 27 points, Lora D’oyen with 26 points in the female category and Matthew Stewart 28 points and Lance Rochester being runners-up in the male category.
