Launch of Bioethics Society
A new regional professional society “The Bioethics Society of the Engish-speaking Caribbean (BSEC)’ will be launched on Friday, May 19 at 4:45 p.m. in the Social Sciences Lecture Theatre, UWI, Mona.
The Society is primarily for persons who have or intend to have a significant involvement in the discussion, teaching, research, or clinical aspects of bioethics in the English-speaking Caribbean.
The launch ceremony will commence with a short presentation about the Society and the work of the Steering Committee. This will be followed by approval of nominations for Patrons and Honorary Membership of the Society, and election of the first Executive Committee. At 5:30 p.m. a modest reception will allow an opportunity to interact socially.
